Index Weekly Update 24-08-2025

Last week of August with monthly expiry, lets analyse index price action for next week.

Bank Nifty Future

1) Weekly TF:

BNF Weekly

• After a puase in downtrend in last week, BNF tried to move higher but failed and closed lower.
• Last week closing is below previous inside week's high which shows selling pressure at high.
• BNF has broke LL structure, but failed to close HH, thus a trend reversal is not confirmed yet.
• Even BNF opened with gap up last week, but failed to hold the momentum and closed lower.
• It also faced rejection from swing AVWAP marked as RED which is at 55,900.
• Now BNF has resistance around 56,000 & support at 55,070 & 54,650.

2) Daily TF:

BNF Daily

Indicators: RSI, MACD, VOL (as per order in chart)

• BNF, Monday opened gap up and struggled to move higher and went sideways.
• BNF got 3 times rejection from RED AVWAP (coincide with Fibo level 56,130) and closed lower.
• On friday BNF moved lower again and closed below GREEN AVWAP marked from 07-04-2025.
• Second time BNF closing below GREEN AVWAP, but we need two closing below to confirm the down trend.
• All the above Price Action denotes sentiment is neutral to bearish.
• Indicator:
• RSI made a swing high and truned lower and close at 37, which is still weak and in sync with price movment (Neutral)
• MACD: After gap up open, MACD remains above zero line which is not in sync with price. Price is weak but MACD is positive, we need further movment to find trend. (Neutral).
• Now BNF is Neutral & near support, it has resistance around 55,900 and support at 54,730.

Nifty Future

1) Weekly TF:

NF Weekly

• Last week NF was more bullish than BNF, NF closed higher than BNF from respective supports.
• NF opened gapup and faced resistance from RED Zone & also from RED AVWAP.
• NF closed higher compared to previous week, but this week it closed below open with long wick.
• Week before previous week (04-08-2025) High is the reference to hold bullish momentum.
• NF broke LL, LH formation and closed high than previous week, follow through is important.
• If this week's low is broke & then there is possibility to test this swing low (24400).
• NF has resistance around 25,000 and support at 24,400.

2) Daily TF:

NF Daily

Indicators: RSI, MACD, VOL (as per order in chart)

• NF opened gap up near AVWAP resistance on monday and moved higher to get rejection from higher levels.
• NF is bullish than BNF, but failed to hold the momentum during the week and closed below week's open.
• NF tested horizontal resistance at 25,150 and on friday erased 4 days of gain and closed near GAP zone (Which is immediate support).
• Break below the GAP zone can lead to test recent swing low, monday if the gap hold, then next week will be sideways inside this weeks range.
• Indicators:
• RSI: RSI moved higher & closed near 50, which hold good strength in the index (Mild Bullish).
• MACD: MACD moved positive above closed higher. (Mild Bullish).
• Price: Netural, RSI: Mild bullish, MACD: Mild bullish, overall can expect a bounce.
• NF has support at 24,850 and resistance around 25,050 & 25,150.
